Granville

The Village of Granville is a quiet New England style village in Licking County, about 30 miles northeast of Columbus on the new US Route 161.  It was founded in 1805 by Yankee pioneers from Massachusetts and Connecticut.  It has always been noted for the hospitality of it inns which have been preserved and still provide outstanding lodging and fine dining. The city leaders are committed to preserving the turn-of –the-century (1900) streetscape and nature of the community.

Granville is the home of Denison University, one of the top liberal arts universities in the Midwest.

It offers many recreational opportunities, including bike paths, parks, three golf courses, two tennis clubs, a community pool, and Lake Hudson, which offers picnicking and camping.
